Reelism Studio is run by Kaszimir Herbert. After acquiring an Associates degree in Broadcast and a Bachelors in Music Technology, I apprenticed under D.W. Fearn and the Hazelrigg brothers of Hazelrigg Industries for a year, where I trained my ear and grew an appreciation for high-quality low-track count recording. Desiring to understand the gear better, I soldered professionally for the next year and obtained an IPC J-STD-001 certificate. It is with these skills I built the heart of Reelism Studio, the Blumlein Ribbon Microphone and Dual Channel Tube Preamp. Having slowly transitioned from Pro Tools to hybrid to fully out-of-the-box recording, I reach into techniques of the past to attempt to give a new angle to what a modern recording can be.
